Guadalajara, Jalisco, March 17, 2020 - With the aim of establishing preventive actions to avoid possible contagion in the face of the COVID-19 outbreak, while protecting our employees and giving continuity to the activities of our organization in a safe and orderly manner; Orlegi Sports and Atlas FC have implemented the following protocol.
Three groups within the institution have been defined by the characteristics of their functions with a tailored action plan for each group, prioritizing the well-being and health of each of the members of the Orlegi Sports family:
Training at La Madriguera and other regularly-designated facilities will suspend for one week in all categories. Depending on recommendations by the health ministry, it will later be defined if training will resume on March 23. Players will be provided specific and tailored instruction for exercises at home to be performed daily.
No player is allowed to travel outside the city under any circumstance and it is recommended that each only leaves his or her house if absolutely necessary, with exception of our youth players from other cities who have been granted permission to return to their homes and will work under the same regimen as our other teams. At the Atlas Institute we remain committed to following instructions of the Secretary of Public Education, suspending classes until April 20. Youth teams will suspend until further notice.
Administrative employees will work from home from March 16 until further notice, depending on recommendations from the health ministry. This includes employees whose functions are not directly related to on-field work or are not dependent on a work-place presence to carry out their functions: accounting, marketing, human development, and commercial among others.
Employees whose functions directly depend on being present at the work place: facility maintenance, field maintenance, security, and cleaning services among others.
Personnel have been instructed to coordinate with their direct supervisors regarding the times and locations in which they must present themselves to carry out activities.
It has been advised that all employees in this sector should work in small groups following a specific safety protocol to safeguard their health.
In general, there will be no work-related trips unless they are strictly essential.
With these actions, we at Orlegi Sports and Atlas FC reiterate our support of the corresponding health authorities and our commitment to unite in the social awareness campaign for the entire population, urging that we continue with measures to promote hygiene and prevention.
