Guadalajara, Jalisco, July 3, 2020 - Midfielder Renato Ibarra is the newest signing for los Rojinegros and will complement head coach Rafa Puente's attack for the season. The player arrived to Guadalajara and completed his medical exams succesfully and will present with the team on Friday afternoon at la Madriguera.
The 29 year old winger is a proven success at the highest level. He's characterized for his power and speed along with his ability in 1 v. 1 situations.

Born in Ambuqui, Ecuador, on January 29, 1991, Alex Renato Ibarra Mina started his path as a professional soccer player with El Nacional in his native country, making his debut in 2009 where he quickly became an undisputed starter.
“La Liebre” captured the attention of clubs at the international level and in 2011 he was signed by SBV Vitesse in the Dutch Eredivisie where he amassed 120 games and appeared in the UEFA Europa League.
His next professional challenge would come with his signing by Club America in 2016, where he helped his team to two league titles, a Copa MX title, and the Campeon de Campeones in 2019. He was also chosen to the Liga MX Best XI.
ECUADOR NATIONAL TEAM
Ibarra's quality has earned him a consistent spot with Ecuador's national team over the years,
He was part of the Under 20 squad in the 2011 U20 World Cup in Colombia, and later, qualified with the senior team for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, making the final list of 23 players where he featured in Ecuador's group stage game against France.
Ibarra was also present in the 2015 and 2019 Copa America in Chile and Brazil, in addition to the 2018 Russia World Cup qualifiers.
